Michael J. Weil, Esq.

Michael J. Weil, Esq. joined the law firm of Nadine Maleski, LLC in 2016. He previously worked as a matrimonial lawyer in Greenwich, Connecticut and then returned home to New Jersey to serve as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anthony F. Picheca, Jr. of the New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division Family Part in Somerset County.

Michael was admitted to the New Jersey and Connecticut bars in 2013 and the New York bar in 2014. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Somerset County Bar Association, and the Hunterdon County Bar Association, where he serves on the Lawyer Referral Committee. He currently participates in the Vicinage 13 Family Law Inns of Court.

Prior to practicing law in private law firms, Michael served as a judicial law clerk to the Connecticut Appellate Court. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2013 earning high honors. There, Michael was elected to the Connecticut Law Review and served as its Competition Editor. His Note explored the constitutionality of a purportedly neutral ban on a religious practice. It was published in the law review in 2012 and was cited in an article published in the First Amendment Law Review. Michael was honored with the Alvin Pudlin Memorial First Amendment Award, the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Prize, the Joseph F. Noonan Memorial Prize, and the CALI Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedure. Michael volunteered with the Homeless Experience Legal Project and the Center for Children's Advocacy, and participated in a transactional law clinic. He taught basic civics and constitutional law to high school sophomores. Michael earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from The George Washington University in 2008.
